One-timeWhat happens after you register
FDA food registrations are not a one-time thing forever. Here is what to expect after your first filing is done.
Your FDA registration must stay active and accurate while you are shipping to the US market.
Your US Agent must remain active during the period your facility is registered.
We manage all of this for you. We contact you before every filing step is due.
Questions food exporters ask before they begin
These are the questions we hear most often from factories and food brands planning their first US shipment.
Do I need FDA registration before I export food to the USA?+
In most cases, yes. If your facility manufactures, processes, packs, or stores food for the US market, FDA food facility registration is usually required before shipment.
What is a DUNS number and when do I need it?+
A DUNS number is a business identifier used during FDA food facility registration. If you do not already have one, we can request it for you as part of the setup.
Do foreign food manufacturers need a US Agent?+
Yes. Foreign food facilities need a US Agent for FDA registration. We provide that service and keep it active during the coverage period you purchase.
How long does food facility registration take?+
Most standard food registration work is completed within 3–5 business days after we receive the required details and documents.
What if my DUNS information is wrong or outdated?+
We can handle DUNS information updates for name, address, or other business details before the FDA filing is submitted.
Do egg producers need a separate registration?+
Yes. If you produce shell eggs for the US market, you may also need FDA Shell Egg Producer Registration in addition to your food facility setup.
What happens after my registration is complete?+
Once registered, your facility and US Agent details must stay accurate and active while you ship to the US market. We contact you before any required filing step is due.
What happens after I place an order?+
You complete the food application, we review your details, and our team files directly with the FDA on your behalf. We then send you confirmation when the work is done.
