Start with the facility, not just the product
Many Vietnamese exporters focus first on the product label or importer request. The faster path is usually to identify the exact facility that manufactures, packs, or stores the food before export. That tells you which registration work applies and what company details are needed.
Typical FDA items to check
For many packaged food shipments, the main setup includes the DUNS-linked facility information, food facility registration, and a US Agent for the foreign site. Depending on the product, label review may also be worth handling before the goods leave Vietnam.
Why planning early matters
US buyers often ask for proof quickly, but rushed filings can create mismatches in names, addresses, or activity details. A short pre-check of your factory records, English company naming, and product scope can save far more time than trying to correct a bad filing later.
